This commercial starts off innocently enough. But watch as centuries of English/French tensions boil over into pure advertising delight. Love the little details (like how it transitions from full screen to letterboxed wide screen). Perfect execution of a simple idea. An oldie (1996) but a goodie from London's HHCL & Partners.

I can't get enough of these new spots for Cravendale milk in England. As an adult, it sucks me right in. The offbeat humor and wacky execution keeps my attention (increasingly difficult for anything to do in my advancing years) and I can't help but get the point. Filtered milk is better milk. For kids, I can't see how you could ever drink a glass of milk again without yelling "milk milk!" Pay special attention to the little details. In my opinion, the pirate displays a greater range of emotion than many famous film stars.
I just love this campaign from Adidas. It's intelligent, engaging, and inspiring. Here's a behind the scenes look at how the campaign was put together. There's just something captivating about watching these athletes struggle to express themselves in art. It makes them more human. It makes their stories more relatable. If you've only seen one or two of the spots where you live, be sure to go to the Adidas web site to view the rest of the campaign. Each spot is a gem. The web site itself is pretty amazing, too. Really smart work from 180 Amsterdam.
This classic commercial is really a valuable life lesson. When faced with obstacles in life, you have to choose the right response. And lightning bolt is almost always the right response.
A simple idea, layered with great executional details (check out the acting by the balding guy, especially). A coworker pointed me to this spot, which is currently running in our market. Hilarious. I love the way they draw you in before letting all heck break loose. By Grey Worldwide New York.
